First email, then blogs, then Facebook, now Pinterest!
Now I know why I always feel behind on my housework! Because I am! With all this technology you would think someone would come up with an ingenious way for technology to clean our homes so we can support all their other inventions (aka time thieves!).
I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon, so in the meantime, I will still find some time for my new guilty pleasure of Pinterest. For those of you who are still wondering what Pinterest is, let me explain.
It is a virtual pinboard where you organize and share anything and everything you find interesting online in one convenient, organized, neat looking place. No more searching in your messy file cabinets for that recipe or cool craft idea you cut out of that magazine. It's like a visual representation of bookmarks folders in your browser.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
If you want jump into the pinning frenzy, you need to be invited by someone or request an invite through Pinterest. I personally think you should do this because it has been one of funnest and uniquely inspiring things I have ever done. I have found some of the greatest recipes and craft ideas that I'd never have found even if I'd searched through every magazine on the planet. Not only that, but I also have started using Pinterest as my search engine when I need a really good idea. I have not been let down yet.
Here are some screen shots of some of my boards:
A board for great organizing ideas:
And of course, a purple board!
Of course, I have many others as well. The possibilities are endless.
If you haven't already, request an invite, or send me your email address and I can invite you.
HAPPY PINNING!!!
