Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions:

"BUSINESS AS USUAL"
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Breakfast ~ What businesses do you "keep in business"? Are there any businesses you avoid or refuse to patronize?

"BUSINESS AS USUAL"
MY ANSWERS Lunch ~ Have you ever had a home based business or worked at one? If so, what or where? After we were first married, I had my own dance studio called Jodi's Rainbow Academy of Dance and taught about 70 students clogging, baton, ballet, tap, and aerobics for four years before we went to medical school. Then I had my own craft line called Kalico Kreations where I sold things I made in boutiques for many years. I also had my own cake business for a while to help make ends meet when we were poor struggling med students where I decorated cakes professionally for people.
Dinner ~ What type of show business have you participated in? Well, since my entire growing up life was heavily spent in dancing and baton, I've done many dance recitals, piano recitals, skits, road shows, plays, and as a member of the Weber State Folk Dance team we were always performing and doing "shows". My best memory of any would have to be when I performed a baton solo at the Royal Albert Hall in London when I was the majorette for Weber State. Miraculously, I didn't even drop it. Whew, what a relief! I was on the Weber State rifle twirling squad at that time as well and we also performed in London at an international competition and we took first place. I will forever be grateful to my mom for enduring all those years of lessons so I could have the opportunities I did because of them. I was also in a film that my friend Davaleen did for the 48 Hour Film Festival. That was a total riot! When my boys were little I used to go and answer phones for the Primary Children's Miracle Network telethon every year and one year I was interviewed on TV when I was about 9 months pregnant! I almost forgot I was also on TV when I was trying to win the Sego Lily Blog Contest. That was also a blast! My boys got to be on with me on that one, only outside of my tummy! Oh, and I just remembered I was in an infomercial for Dr. Glenn Latham's promotion of his book The Power of Positive Parenting. We filmed it in a beautiful cabin in Sundance. I never did get to see it though. I was told it was shown mostly in Arizona and Colorado. I need to quit thinking because I keep remembering things and this is already getting way too long!
Midnight Snack ~ Which phrase (or phrases) most resembles your week? Taking care of business, none of your business, get down to business, that's show business, back in business, monkey business, mixing business with pleasure, like nobodies business, strictly business, business as usual? I would say "taking care of business" because I checked a lot off my to do list this week like visiting teaching, board meetings, ortho appointments, shopping, etc. Also I would add "like nobodies business" because my son Bryce crashed in a serious way on his longboard this week and his body was one big road rash! I get queasy with that kind of thing but I helped him get it cleaned up and taken care of....even if my way of helping is to take him to his Dad at the clinic! haha It was non stop scrubbing for us and it just turned my stomach to know how painful it was for him. I finally suggested he take a shower to get most of the dirt off, which ended up being the best plan of all.

I agree with your recipe for the week. Have you been to the Home Store on Riverdale Rd yet? Oh my heck I went in there the other day but had my son so couldn't really look around. I think you'd like it
