*MONDAY MEMOS*

(If pictures are too small, just click to enlarge)
Weekly recap of my rather crazy, insane, but fun and rewarding life!

dear monday, today was Labor Day!  Carson and I went to the high school on a walk. He wanted to go on the bleachers again. The chairs had been tossed overboard. Crazy. He is so cute.  He had a little rest while I walked. I only got in three miles but that was okay. We found some money and saw an older couple walking and looking down like us. They were also looking for coins. Dang!  My secret spot has been discovered!  LOL
We came home and I got ready and then practiced the harp awhile. I did some cleaning and worked on the calendars and then made a peach pie.
I invited my parents over to have some. Mary Kate was coming too. She arrived first and we chatted and she is so darling. She really is the sweetest thing. Carson made her a "presents" and he acted so embarrassed when she opened it. It was so cute.  He calls himself, "Mr. Steal your Girl". It's true!  Hah  It was so cute.

My parents arrived and McKay was here too. We had fresh peach pie and it was SO SO SO good!  Mmmm.... I love peaches! I love peach pie even more!  Carson was entertaining us for a while.  We visited for quite a while.  I was so beat tonight. I mean really beat. I would have gone to bed at 8 if I could have. We loaded Mary Kate up with produce from the garden and some peaches.

dear tuesday, I got up early and practiced the harp.  Sky and crew were heading to Disneyland today but I got away for my lesson before them. I took some pix of cute Carson all decked out in his panda paraphernalia.  Sarah made Sky a shirt (below) and some earrings for her. He is so excited but is sad he is going to miss me. I know I will miss him!
My lesson went pretty well, but I couldn't play as well as I did at home and that is frustrating. I headed to Station Park to Home Goods after. I found me a new mini table for my entry way. I have wanted a new one for a while now.  I hope I like it. Best part was I got $30 off because the handle knob was not working right. Love that!

Then I went to Marshalls and to Crumbl and used my bday coupon.

I went to RC Willey's to try to find a new couch. Ours is shot.  Instead I found some purple outdoor furniture that was clearanced but it wasn't marked down enough so I offered them $150 for the entire set since the cushions were faded and I would need to do some work on it. They accepted (not right away) so I bought it.  PURPLE outdoor furniture!!! Seriously!!!
Now to find a way to pick them up this week. I hit Bella Me and used my bday gift card. Then I stopped in and visited with my parents. I was there for quite a while. I love chatting with them. I shared my cookies.  Sent this to Carson.  He got a kick out of it.
I came home and it was so quiet. I was alone.  Been rare to be alone.  I loved it though. I need alone time sometimes. But I am finding I don't like it as much as I used to. I went to the church for the RS meeting. We had an instapot demo and one on canning. I got to know Sally a bit better and chatted with Nancy as well.  It was a nice night. I came home and worked on this and I am determined to catch this up while they are gone to Cali but I realized every day is packed full this week.  Sigh....
Scratchers.  I love this cat.
Mr. Cat does NOT love this cat.

dear wednesday, today I had my PT. Rob says my extension is between a -3 and 4, but I want it 100% at a -4. I am going to have to get back to working hard on it again. I kind of stopped because I was told it was back a few weeks ago. Hard to get back in the habit of doing PT here again. I need to hit the PT gym three times a week again I guess.  Sigh.  It's now been 7 months since I started!  Ugh!  He had me run on the treadmill today.  About two minutes total I think. It felt fine but the real test will be how it feels tomorrow.  Hopefully it will be fine.  I changed my clothes in my car and headed to Maddox to meet the Sistas for peach pie. Robin was doing a Norwex party for me as well.
I wish more would have come. But two had last minute conflicts dang it.  It was fun. I do love Norwex. I need to be better at using it.  We had fun chatting.

I came home and I was all alone. Felt so strange, but I liked it. I had to choose between working on my calendars, my blog, or practicing the harp. I choose the blog. Probably should have done the harp or calendars. Oh well.  I have felt a lot of tension lately in my head and have felt like my head is about to explode. I'm trying to do more meditation from podcasts or apps I have downloaded but I need more.  I went on a walk around the park with Julie tonight. I only got in two miles because my ankle was hurting.  Dang.

dear thursday, today I went on a walk but only dared go three miles since I have the Peach Days 5K on Saturday and I want my ankle to be fresh.  Found several love notes from heaven.
I parked at the school.  ~ I came home it was so strange to be alone.  I was used it before and now I am not. Kinda lonely.  I'm not liking it as much as I used to. I really miss little Carson.  He brightens my day. But they are having fun in Disneyland.

I found a gift on my porch for my bday. It was from Caroline.  Such fun stuff!
I made Peach Pecan bread again. It's so yummy.
I delivered some of it to neighbors
Then I hit the store because I wanted to make the Instapot recipe I got at RS on Tuesday for Dave's parents.  My instapot didn't seal for some reason and I had to stop it before it was done.  But I got it to finish cooking by just sitting there in the heat.  I practiced the harp and my hymn is coming pretty well. Yay.  I then picked up Robin and she went with me to deliver the dinner but when I got there they already had dinner from Maddox that was leftover from the clinic.  Great.  Dave forgot to tell me that little detail.  Hmm....  Yeah...
When we drove by the apartment Dave was breaking out the windows.  What?! Yeah. I have no idea what he was thinking since all of their stuff is inside. Not a job to do alone.  Robin and I went to the Peach Queen pageant.   It was packed!  There were 15 girls in it this year!  A record I think at least in the past 10-15 years. I saw tons of peeps I know. Our seats weren't too bad. The peeps in front of us were both former Peach Queens.  Or maybe there were three?  The talent this year was amazing. There have been years where there is really not much, but this year, all but maybe one or two was top notch.  The winners surprised me as usual, but it was fun. Chatted with Sherri and Andrea after.  I wore my new jumpsuit that I bought for the reunion but decided to wear something else at the last minute. It's cute, but hot. ~

dear friday, today I got ready to go on a walk but got too busy doing other stuff.  Robin picked me up to go to the Peach Days vendor booths. It was an overcast day but so muggy which made it really hot.  We shopped at our two favorite clothing booths and once again met Teresa W and her friends.  We always see them there.  I got some cute dresses and skirts and Robin got some cute shoes and skirts.  We went to another shoe place and Robin got some shoes.  I wasn't interested in anything until I saw some sandals that looked purple. Yeah, then I succumbed. Hah  We had Robin's granddaughter with us too.  We ate lunch and then hit the other booths on the west side.  It's so nice to go on Friday when there are very few people there.  It's the best time. We had fun. I got a Scentsy too. I think I overspent today. I also got some Cmas gifts.  It was fun.  We were there way too long.  The stroller slowed us down some, but we also talked to a lot of peeps.  I love Peach Days.
Definitely sole sisters!
When I got home it was almost 4. So much for getting a lot done this weekend.  Nope.  I had to run to Kent's and while there it was the children's parade.  I felt so FOMO and so I walked over there and found Lynda W and chatted with her and her friend. We watched it together. It wasn't as good as it used to be. No schools were even in it.  I was disappointed.
When I got home I made a peach cake for Dave's parents anniversary tomorrow.  Then Dave and I went to Wingers.  We got home pretty late.
Oh, this cat!  I love how he is sleeping!

dear saturday, today I got up early and met Karen and Mickey at the Peach Day's race. I signed up for the 5K.
We got some photos by the Honey Bucket so we can win one (or $1000). Not sure why anyone would want to win a porta potty though.
THUMBS UP!  I am so excited I am actually in another race!  It's great to be able!
This is only the 2nd year they have done the 5K. I was excited. I have always done the 10K and it's kind of brutal. Dave asked me if I was nervous. I kind of laughed.  I love the excitement of a race environment, but no, I was not nervous.  Not too much to be nervous about when you're just walking. I met Robin there as well. She was also walking it. I saw Julie and Jen as well.
The photo bombers in these pix are hilarious. Top left was doing it on purpose.  The guy in the top right is picking his nose behind me. Bottom left the guy is scowling at us.  Bottom right the guy is grabbing his own hiney.  You just never know what's going on around you.  Hehe You might have to click to enlarge.
We had fun with the peaches before the race.
 GIVE ME A PEACH!

We lined up with the 10K runners and off we went.
Robin and Mickey did a little bit of running.  I did a bit more than I should have. I think I ran for a good two minutes or so. I have not done that before.  Hopefully, it will be okay.  We actually caught up with Robin and Mickey a few times. LOL  We were booking it!  I saw Richard and Jill when we were heading west. They are so sweet. They are always so supportive.  Jill was the 1st attendant Peach Queen in 1967, back in the day when they had at least 30 contestants. Things have definitely changed.  He took some pix and sent them to me.  These are the pix.

I also got his annual email that he sends to family and friends and he wrote this up:
Such nice people.

We crossed the finish line at 38:11!  We walked (with a tiny bit of running) a 12:19 pace!!! What? I was stunned!  That is not easy to do!  Karen is a fast walker.
Our staged FINISH LINE photos:
We finished over and over so we could get some pix.  LOL
It's like it was our very first race and we had to document it.  Maybe we had a bit too many peaches...
I ran into some of Taylor's buds.  They both did super well!
It was so fun!  No medal this year and no award, but NOTHING could be MORE rewarding than being able to be in a race again!!!  It felt so good to be able to walk!  Jen walked it as well.   Jen and I stayed for the awards because they always give out amazing door prizes. We waited and waited and discovered after 45 minutes that they did the door prizes by writing the winner's #'s on a poster this year.  Ugh!  We wasted 45 minutes!  The first place winner in my age division finished in 57 something. That means I would have defended my first place title this year IF I could have run. The last time I ran it, I finished with 52:09!  I think that is my PR, but not sure.
I walked to find the family on the parade route. Linda saved us some seats.  Haylie and her kiddos showed up right after I got there.  Bryce was working.  HOLY COW! There was SO much candy this year!  I have never been to a parade with so much candy! Not only candy, but Frisbees, balls, fans, necklaces, otter pops, cereal, socks (yes, socks!), and on and on.  It was fun!  I ate my share too! A huge grim reaper came up to us and scared Brinlee out of her wits!  Liam loved waving at the tractors.  It was fun.  I got a ton of cute pix.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE this little guy!  He is so sweet and innocent and it was so fun watching the parade through his eyes!  EVERYTHING was new and amazing and he was so cute waving at EVERY parade participant.  SO. SWEET!
I could not get enough of watching him in such amazement at everything he saw.  It was all new to him!  Yes, I am a grandma!  I had to add EVERY picture because his expression was different in each. Hah  OVERLOAD I know, but I don't care!
Sweet little Brinlee was also so adorable!  She wasn't quite as enthused as Liam, but it was fun seeing her eyes light up when the princess float went by.  HOLY COW, they got a lot of candy!
Liam KNEW that was Bryce's work entry!!!  He has seen it so much and he got all excited when it went by for IMT!  That is pretty smart!

I came home and showered and made caramel sauce for the cake I made for the anniversary party for Dave's parents.  I then headed over there.  There were all peach desserts and it was so yummy. I made the cake for Dave's mom because she doesn't like pie. But, she didn't like my cake either.  Hah  It was really good though. I did run out of whipped cream though dang it.  We visited for a while and then Bryce an crew showed up.  I pushed the kids on the swings and we all played with Natalie's new puppy Blue.  He's so cute!
I headed to the booths with Karen. We got some shoes and shopped a bit and then she had to leave. I was alone but didn't want to leave because parking is so horrendous and Dave was meeting me there in about an hour and so I just walked around. I chatted with tons of peeps. I saw Dottie and Jon. It was fun to see so many people. I also saw Scott By from high school.  It is kind of awkward walking around alone and so I just sat on the bleachers and people watched until Dave got there.
We got some dinner and then headed to the concert. It was Gentri this year and I knew it would be packed, and it was.  It was also so cold!  The wind started to blow and it got dark and I didn't have a jacket.  Brrr... I finally sat on Dave's lap so he could get me warm.  The concert was really good. We headed home and I went straight to bed.

Another Peach Days in the books!
My FB posts today:
The moon looked like a big fresh peach too!!!

A yummy PEACH recipe!
Peach Fluff 'n' Stuff
3 Cups Cold Water
1 Package (3 ounces) Cook-and-Serve Tapioca Pudding
1 Package (3 ounces) Cook and Serve Vanilla Pudding
1 Package (3 ounces) Peach Jello
1 Carton (8 ounces) Cool Whip
1 Cup Diced Peaches
Add the cold water to a medium saucepan. Stir in tapioca pudding, vanilla pudding, and Jell-O and stir until smooth. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly until mixture begins to thicken. Remove the pan from the stove and allow the mixture to cool. Fold in the Cool Whip and Peaches. Chill until set.
dear sunday, Sky and crew got home late last night.  Carson told me he missed me so much and kept telling Sky everyday that he missed me too much. So cute.  We had Paigely's farewell this morning and just as we were getting ready to leave, Carson came up. I talked him into going with us. I just had to tell him Grammy would be there. He said, "Oh Grammy is going to be there then I don't have a chance." Hah  Meaning, he would have to go because he had to see her. Hehe  It poured on the way down!  Literally poured!  Buckets!  We were a bit late and so sat in the back. Grammy and Grampy were clear up on the second row and Carson went up there to sit by them. About 15 minutes later he stood on the bench and waved back at us. It was so cute.  LOL  It was also Emma's farewell and she did an amazing job. Paigely's talk was so incredible!  I was in tears. She did such a good job. I was so proud of her. I am so proud of her for going on a mission considering everything that has happened in her family as of late.  She is such a great example!  We saw the Price's there (their new ward) and Darcee F. was there.  Carson came back to sit by us and he spotted Winston.  He was so happy to see him. It was cute.  We chatted in the foyer for a while and then headed to Sheila and Craig's for breakfast.  It was yummy. We took fresh peaches cut up.
OH MY HEART!!!

Have you EVER???  Oh, my heart!!!  Every single picture should be showcased individually!  They are each so precious!!!!

We had a ton of fun visiting out in the backyard.  Jerry was there and Tyler and we were laughing so hard.  It was fun. It was so nice of Trevor and Cyndi to come. They are the nicest people.  Carson and Winston had so much fun with some other kids. We took a tour of Craig's garage.  It is huge. It was a lot of fun just visiting. We stayed for several hours. Hah  Not normal for us but it was so fun!  I didn't want to leave.  But, we did.

Check out those YOGA poses. And the meditation ohhhhmmmsss.....

SO very proud of this girl!!!!
My FB post ↑

We came home and hung out for a bit.  McKay was home.  He made cookies, then Bryce and crew showed up. Carson was sound asleep when they arrived and slept through all the chaos. I played in the sandbox with them for a while. We fed them.  After they left, I was pretty tired. I wanted to go on a walk, but it is getting dark so fast now.  Taylor facetimed me and showed me his new place. It's totally barren!  I feel so bad for him. He has an air mattress, and a teeny desk and chair and zero furniture anywhere. He has one chair and that is it. It was sad. I asked him what he needed and I am going to try to gather some stuff since his friend Travis is heading up this week.  His roommate has a TV but put it in his bedroom.  It has to get really lonely there.  His roommate is never there he said.  The reality of life.
I never tire of seeing these guys in my yard!

dear random, this is Winston a few years ago...okay maybe 6 or so.
