MY ANSWERS
Breakfast ~ What would your name be if you could name yourself? When I was really young I wanted it to be Candice Ann White.  I changed it to Mae (my middle name) in 2nd grade and got in trouble with my teacher.  Then as a teenager I wanted it to be Kelly, Windy, or Heather.  Now, I guess I would choose Violet.  Go figure!
Lunch ~ What have you learned about yourself this week that you didn't know before? That I am stronger than I give myself credit for.  Other people tell me that I am strong, but sometimes I just don't feel it.  This week has been really hard, but I somehow managed to survive it.
Dinner ~ What has been consuming your thoughts this week? Oh goodness, what hasn't!  hah!  My mind has been reeling with so much lately, but this week it has for sure been McKay.  When you tell your baby goodbye for two years, that tends to take over most of your thinking!
Midnight Snack ~  What story do your friends tell about you that you wish they’d forget? My friends Robin and Jody never let me forget when we were in college and on a trip to Europe that I let the bus leave without them when we were in Amsterdam going on a day trip.  From what I can recall, I really didn't know they weren't on the bus at the time, but they don't believe me.  I would never just abandon them. But we get a laugh out of it every time we talk about it.

Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?) Sleep is very important and I need to put it more of a priority!  If I can just get my body to bed by 10 p.m. then when I wake up (as I always do lately) at 3:30 a.m. then at least I will have gotten more than five hours of sleep.  Going to bed at 11:30 (or 1:30 a.m. last night) and waking up at 3:30 is NOT working!  And it's 11:41 p.m. right now and I'm not even close to hitting the sack!

I thought saying goodbye to my baby for 5 1/2 months was hard! I don't know what I would do if he was gone for 2 years! Hugs to you! You need to get more sleep!

As for my post last week about my wedding and the horrible news in 2013 ---- my wedding, I would just love to do it all over again, and have it my way.... not the way my mother and sister did it... they made it all about them, and I was not happy. I just about called it off the morning of and was going to just go elope with my guy!!

As for 2013 - new of my father and father inlaw each having stage 4 cancers, then 6 weeks later my favorite uncle having a heart attack and dieing 3 days later, to having the bottom of my world being yanked out when my best friend called to tell me she had breast cancer! The first 6 months were horrible, I was stressed/sleep deprived and gained a horrible amount of weight. The end of July my father lost his battle with cancer.

My post for this week is --> here.

I have thought a lot lately of sending my baby off on a mission and I know it is going to be super hard....I think we would need to worry if it wasn't. You are Strong! Larry woke up at that same time for 5 years ;)

I played along and my answers can be found at http://dawnthemom.blogspot.com/2015/06/food-4-thought.html

No matter the amount of time you have to say goodbye to your baby, it's just HARD! Thanks for playing gals! I loved your answers! Thanks Jodi for explaining your stories! They were great!
Dawn, I think that time of day is seriously the only time that I am not distracted and so that is when the spirit tries to get through to me. But lately I am just mad that I am awake and so I drive it away rather fast! HAH!

Glad that you are realizing how strong you are. You truly are wonderful and an example to me.
