WHEAT for man...CHOCOLATE for woman!

Members of my church were given an opportunity to purchase wheat for our food storage for an amazing price! A couple in our ward who own a trucking company brought it in right in the truck!
Here are some of us standing in line with our buckets waiting for our turn.↓

Okay it's my turn! ↓

Oooo....this is FUN!!!

Anybody hungry???

Some of the members of my ward taking advantage of their chance to increase their food storage. ↓

This is so much fun, lets do MORE!!!

Dave's turn ↓

20,000 pounds of wheat was unloaded and put in buckets!!!!

It's raining wheat!!!

A literal wheat downpour!!!

However scripturally speaking this is how it should be:
WHEAT for men ~ D&C 89:17
CHOCOLATE for women ~ M&M 24:7

I'll definitely take the M&M's 24:7 , but I am NOT giving up the wheat! SHEESH! Look what I would be missing!!!! ↓

Or there's always combining the two! Works for me!!!

Sidenote:
Have you seen this cool EDGE BROWNIE PAN????
If you are like me and fight over the edges, then here is your solution! ALL EDGES!!!! If you want to order this pan just google "Edge Brownie Pan" and you will find a ton of places to purchase it. And NO, I don't have one. But I am willing to accept any and all gifts! :D

MY ANSWERS
Breakfast
What is your favorite part of FALL?
I love the smells! I also love that it's cool enough for homemade soup made with all the produce from the garden. But Halloween is my very favorite part of it! Love Halloween!

Lunch
If you could go anywhere this weekend, where would you go?
To Arizona to visit my sister in law and her fam.

Dinner
What are you currently addicted to?
Some of the games (nerdy ones) on Facebook! Me and my husband compete with each other.

Midnight Snack
Have you already begun your Christmas shopping?
Well, not officially, but I have bought a few things.

Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?)
Sometimes it's more important to follow your head instead of your heart. ♥

1. One week ago me and my husband celebrated 27 years of marriage at our son's football game but then went to eat at Hamiltons in Logan. We walked in the door at 9:50 pm just before they closed.

2. I wanna go back to when I was young...life was so much simpler.

3. Mama told me to be patient.

4. We are great together, you and me.

5. Take your time or time will take you.

6. This too will pass!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to attending the high school varsity football game - Taylor (my sophomore) gets to suit up!, tomorrow my plans include a 7:30 a.m. breakfast by our Bishopric, then attend Especially For Youth with my Young Women, then head to McKay's little league football game, then to a baby shower in Midvale, then back to a dinner at the church, and then to watch the broadcast of the General Relief Society broadcast....whew! and Sunday, I want to attend all my meetings and maybe rest a bit.

Mother's Night for Football!

Our high school got a new football coach this year and he is more than awesome! He has made changes that were way over-due! Besides that he has implemented many new and exciting things, one which included a MOTHERS NIGHT.

Mothers Night was designed to teach the basics of football to the moms (sisters and grandmas were also welcome). I loved that idea!!!! With five boys under my belt, you would expect I would know a lot about the game. But I have to admit, I still ask a lot of questions during the game on why a certain call was made, or what in the heck just happened. This was a great help to me and the other moms.

We were taught the basics of the game via a white-board. Coach Gunter explained the positions and the plays that they use. He made it sound like it was a very simple and easy game. Not so. I was shocked how many plays these boys have to memorize! And the brain power involved in determining what play to implement. Coach tried to downplay it, but it takes more brains than brawn!

The boys then got out on the floor and demonstrated where each position was. We then went outside and got to learn our son's position and the basic drills they do every day. Then WE (the moms) got to do the drills! Fun- fun!!! We were coached by our sons and the coaches. What a great opportunity for moms and sons!

We are gathered outside to learn some plays and drills.

It was a very fun and informative evening! Now maybe my boys won't always snicker at me for asking so many "dumb" football questions! They might even be shocked when I tell them why a flag was thrown on a play. Well, okay, maybe I shouldn't go that far. But at least, I got some positions and a few plays downs. :D

Summer Lovin'

Oh what did WE do in the summertime???

We did A LOT, but here's just a few...

(As always~ CLICK to enlarge)

Family Home Evening with extended fam. Water party at the park!

I ran the Dam Race again! And I got another Dam T-shirt for doing it! I also got another Dam Medal for finishing 3rd in my Dam Age Division!!!

We also went to the cabin a couple of times. This particular time was for a "work trip". Dave's parents are remodeling the kitchen. Fun-Fun!!! I don't have the "after" shots yet.

We did get a chance to steal away for a little boating. Unfortunately the boat motor got flooded before we even got moving. After some mechanical help from Dave and Taylor....we were back on the water!

Palisades Reservoir

Koda
and the cousins came along too...

Beautiful Palisades Reservoir in Alpine Wyoming

Dave and Bryce went with Taylor to his scout camp at Bryce Canyon.
