MY ANSWERS

Happy New Year 2016!
Breakfast ~ How did your New Year start off?  With a big bang, a whimper or a "I want a do over!" ? I would definitely choose, "I want a do over!"  It seems that everything I attempted ended up as a disaster.  I had a deadline to get my mom's calendar done and so I worked very hard on it for several hours.  As I got ready to order it, I previewed it and not one of the changes or additions I had made to it in the previous hour or two had been saved even though I had saved it multiple times.  I had to redo all that work in less than 30 minutes before the offer expired at 1:00 a.m.  NOT FUN!  Then on New Year's Day, I made my nephew's wedding cake and that turned into an entire day of frustration and failed attempts.  You can read that here.  I completely forgot I had to teach Sunday School and had to wing my lesson.  I had to give a presentation in Relief Society and it was one of the worst I have ever given.   And just a million little things like a pair of nylons that had a run in them and on and on.  I really hope that this isn't an introduction for what is in store for 2016!  And I wasn't the only one in the fam having a rough start.  My son's iPhone was stolen and he got hurt at work.  My other son's boss informed him he wouldn't be getting paid as much as he thought he was going to. But, I decided I can look at the bad OR I can put my focus on the GOOD things that also happened.  The calendar got finished just in time for the discount. My cake was able to be fixed and turned out nice.  My presentation provided the sisters with a lot of good information.  I got to know my SS class better because I talked about their lives.  My son was able to get a new phone.  My other son has learned some valuable lessons.  So maybe all in all, when you consider the lessons learned, it actually started out as a great year and good things are in store!
Lunch ~ What are some of your New Year's resolutions for 2016? I am going with my one word again this year.  This year my word is PURGE.  You can read that here.

I do have other things I want to accomplish this year though besides purging.  I want to learn how to play my new harp.  I want to get the basement finished.  I want to redo my kitchen cabinets (but I don't have Dave on board yet for that).  I want to stay trained for Boston in 2017.  I want to learn some Russian (like a word or two would be good!).  I want to be a better person.  I want to serve more.  Be more kind.  Be more aware of others needs.  The list is very long. And by February I will probably be wondering what I was thinking!
Dinner ~ How would you sum up your 2015 year? Overall it was a good year.  A lot of changes!  My baby graduated and left on a mission to Russia.  We are empty nesters.  Dave's first year as Stake President.  I qualified for the Boston Marathon.  Bryce survived what could have been a fatal longboard accident.  We caught a 300 lb. Marlin in Hawaii.  We marked the 10th Angelversary of Tyson's passing.  It was a year filled with mostly wonderful things.  We have been very blessed.
Midnight Snack ~ How would you like 2016 to be different than 2015? As good if not better than last year.  I feel that one of my boys may be married by this time next year and so things could be really different.
Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)  Life moves SO fast!  Sometimes you just have to STOP and SLOW down and soak it all in.  Enjoy the moments and cherish them for they will pass so quickly!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016 ! May you have a year filled with love and blessings!

I like how you changed your perspective on your do overs and saw them as blessings or at least found the good in those times. Sounds like 2016 is going to be wonderful if we keep moving in the same direction as last year because we are just continuing on with all the good and trying to improve ourselves slowly but surely right? Love you twinsee!
