MY ANSWERS
 BACK IN TIME
Breakfast ~ What occupation did you want when you were a child? I always wanted to be school teacher or dental assistant.
Lunch ~ Name a few favorite memories of your elementary school days. I remember we would suck on bouillon cubes, toothpicks soaked in cinnamon oil, and eat raw jello out of the package. Sometimes we would melt sugar until it was hard and suck on that.  We would make houses during recess by using leaves as the borders for the rooms. We played jacks, hopscotch, Red Rover, and four square.   We also played Bum Ball.  Actually that was in Jr. High.  Inside we played Head's Up 7- Up.  I played the Ukulele - it was required.  I took care of our classroom fish named Barney (what a smelly job!).  I would get in the dumpster at Club Heights after school and collect all the good papers that were tossed to play school with.  I would come home for lunch every day in 1st and 2nd grade and eat a bologna sandwich while I watched Bewitched. In 4th through 6th I ended up sitting on the stage during lunch recess a lot because I wouldn't eat all of my lunch or because I got caught shoving it inside my milk carton by our lunch lady Evil Eve. I remember square dancing a lot for gym.  Too many to list...
Dinner ~ What is one smell that brings back memories from your childhood and why? The smell of resin. I took a summer school science class and we went on a hunt for fossils and then came back and made paper weights with them out of resin.  Now when I run past the bowling ball factory and smell that same brain cell killing smell, it brings back happy memories.
Midnight Snack ~ Who was your best friend in elementary school? We moved a lot so I have a few:  Cory Morgan and Lisa Adikai in Nevada.  Sandy Cain at Club Heights. We would have three to four day sleepovers and play Barbies the ENTIRE time!  We would make our own furniture from leftover wood scraps from homes they were building by my house and then cover it with fabric.  GREAT memories!  Kandy Watson, Barbara Piper, and Raylene Morris at Roosevelt. Raylene's  mom would take us toilet papering every Friday night in their camper.  As soon as we finished we would all run and jump in her camper and she would peel away!  She got pulled over once.  So fun!  Junior High? Barbara Piper, Sandy Cain, Jody Briggs, Lisa Hales, Diana Van Leeuwen, Barbara Bonner, Sherri Havertz. We had a sleepover every Friday in someone's yard or house.  There was a group of about 12 of us.  High School? Jody Briggs, Robin Christiansen, Lisa Hales, Pam Rippon, Barbara Piper, Carol Cogdill. Oh, the memories!  The one that stands out the most is when we were Seniors a big group of us snuck over to the Junior Prom (at our school mostly Juniors went) and climbed on the window ridge peering inside with masks on. I had on a cat mask and when people started to come over to check us out, all my friends jumped off but I stayed.  I just stared at the people as they said, "I wonder who it is? Let's pull her in and take off her mask!"  THEN I jumped off!  I have so many great memories with these friends! College? Shauna Anderson and Lisa Hales.  Lots of good laughs with these peeps.  Lisa and I were selected as Fraternity Sweethearts for a frat at WSU and we had to do a talent in order to choose the head sweetheart.  We decided to bake and decorate a cake together.  We used the song "Whip It" and dressed up like hags and made a cake complete with eggs with the shells left on, etc. It was a comedy.  We thought we were so funny!  I am not sure anyone else did, but we had a good laugh at ourselves!  We had a cake we had decorated for the end product.  There are more details on it HERE.

Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)  Our worth is not based on what we accomplish.  Even if we are unproductive and never achieve our goals, we still have valuable worth and what we do or don't do does not diminish that in the least.

Seriously? Bullion cubes? YUCK! Talk about brain-cell killer! Kim and I both remember the cinnamon toothpicks too. Raw jello was the BEST! Did you like the bologna? I love your recipe for the week. Perfect.
Kim played!
