SPOOKY FUN

Breakfast ~ Name your favorite candy passed out at Halloween when you were a child and now as an adult. I LOVED anything chocolate as a kid and I still do!  My faves are Reeses, Almond Joys, Twix, and Kit Kats.
What do you pass out to your Trick or Treators? For years we passed out mini popcorn bags. I couldn't find them the past couple of years and so we did mini chocolate candy bars.  This year I got a great deal on big candy bars and so we are passing them out this year.  We did that the first few years we lived here, but this will be the first year we have done the large ones in a while.  Hopefully, we won't run out.
Lunch ~ What is your most memorable Halloween? It was probably in 2003 when we got a huge crazy snowstorm on Halloween night. It started to snow that evening and we had about 8-12 inches or more before the night was over. It was just coming down and down!  My parents and brother and his family all came up (as was our tradition before their kids got older)At the last minute, the moms in the neighborhood threw together a trick or treating party at the church so the kids didn't have to go out in the storm.  Each family took a classroom to pass out their treats and the kids trick or treated around the church.  It was so much fun.  CRAZY!
At the church
Everything froze!

Dinner ~ What are your Halloween traditions? I need a full post for this answer.  I LOVE HALLOWEEN!  I do a Halloween dinner the Monday before Halloween every year where I make the same thing (spaghetti (brains), meat sauce (organs), salad (guts), breadsticks (boney fingers), French cut green beans (veins), chocolate pudding w/marshmallows (graveyard eyeballs), red punch w/dry ice (bloody brew), each year.  On Halloween night I make a soup (usually potato cheese) and serve it in pumpkin bowls with scary food.  Over the years I have served some pretty gory things!  My parents always come over and join us. My brother used to when his kids were younger.  SO MUCH FUN!  I LOVE HALLOWEEN!  I also decorate up the house inside and out.  We used to go to our friend's haunted house every year when the boys were little.  We would also read Halloween books by flashlight in the dark.  SO many fun things to do on this holiday.
That spider I made out of bread was one of my faves! I hollowed out his middle and filled it with dip.
Just a few of the scary foods.  Finger cookies, witch fingers, kitty litter cake, skeleton cake, cheese fingers.

I used to make a haunted gingerbread house each year as well.  It was a lot of work and somehow I managed to do it with five little boys.  Not sure how because now I wouldn't have the time!  Life is interesting!
My cute chocolate partner in crime Jaida ALWAYS comes to my house every year for Halloween.  This is her and her brother about seven years ago.  She is now 14 (or she 15?) and still comes!  I LOVE IT!  I always give her a BIG GIANT candy bar!
These cuties also show up every year and have been since they were born.  I always have a special treat for them each year as well.  They are Brooke's kids who was one of Tyson's best friends.
Midnight Snack ~ Post a photo of you in one of your favorite Halloween costumes. We have had some great costumes over the years. It would be fun to do a post of all of those, but I think my faves have been when Dave and I went as a donut and a cop.  Last year we were a S'more and that was fun too.  I always love to be a witch!  Or chocolate!

Recipe for the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for the week?)
Do what your heart tells you.  Quit second guessing yourself.  Sometimes we overthink things which causes undue stress.  Relax.  Breath.  Enjoy.

I LOVE reading your posts about Halloween! I can't believe how creative and fun you are. I'm not sure that I could eat your Halloween dinner, it looks (how can I say this without being rude?) DISGUSTING! I had forgotten about the snow covered Halloween - it was awful!
