HO-HO-HO!
Breakfast ~ What is your favorite part of Christmas preparation? I love the baking and the music and just the memories from Christmas' past.  Least favorite? Writing our family newsletter poem and the calendars I make each year for our parents.  TIME CONSUMING and mentally STRESSFUL!
Lunch ~ What one thing would make Christmas just not Christmas for you? The traditions!  But also the snow, the music, the warm feelings of love that is in the air.  And watching It's a Wonderful Life each Christmas Eve.
Dinner ~ What is your favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night and all the Carpenter songs. Movie?  It's a Wonderful Life Treat? Christmas Crack Tradition? Oh so many!  I love reading a Christmas book each night from our basket of wrapped books.  I love Elfis our elf.  I love our birthday party for Jesus. Sorry, I can't pick just one.
Midnight Snack ~ How do you fit in all the extra things that have to be done during the holiday season? I don't!  For the ones that I do manage to get done, it's because I kind of don't sleep much for about two weeks!  I wish I could say I was one of those who had it all done in October, but I have a hard time even thinking Christmas in October.  I want Halloween and Thanksgiving first even though I know it would help me out so much if I did some of it then!
Recipe for the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for the week?)
Accept that life is not going to be easy and instead of getting hung up over all the little things that go wrong and annoy you, just embrace those little things and ENJOY them because those annoying things ARE LIFE!  They are NOT going to go away and so EMBRACE them and learn to ENJOY even those things by putting a positive spin on them.

Just a question - why do you do the poem and the calendar if you dislike it so much? Perhaps you could come up with a meaningful tradition that doesn't stress you so much!
I love It's a Wonderful Life too, but for some reason I don't watch it very often.
I love the Carpenter songs too!
What a great recipe!

Answer to you question...
TRADITION! Well, that is the main reason, the real reason is because I am a historian at heart. That's why I have a blog, why I journal, why I take so many photos, why I print out my Facebook status updates and blogs into book form, why I record everything! None of those things are easy and most overwhelm me but I still continue to do them because I know they are worth the stress! I will keep doing the calendars AND the poem because they are part of that history, and they will continue to stress me out. It's just the price that must be paid. I need to change my attitude and just quit allowing them to stress me out because I AM going to keep doing them even though they make Christmas a stressful time. Best case scenario is to do them BEFORE crunch time, but even though that is my goal EVERY year, there never seems to be MORE time at any other time of year either! Sigh.......

What a great answer. It makes sense to me now. Good luck on getting them done!

I love the music as well and all the hustle and bustle and love in the air. I am also big on traditions but I don't think I mentioned that when I answered the questions. My answers are at http://dawnthemom.blogspot.com/2016/12/food-4-thought-friday.html

I love this time of year and all the craziness and fun. The quiet times and the time set aside to focus on our Savior...it's all wonderful!
