*MONDAY MEMOS*

(If pictures are too small, just click to enlarge)
Weekly recap of my rather crazy, insane, but fun and rewarding life!

dear working microwave!  YAY!  We finally got a new microwave!  Ours decided to give up the ghost and it has been a long process with lots of red tape involved (maybe if duct tape had been involved it would have been fixed sooner since that stuff fixes everything!) but hip hip and three hoorays because we are back in business!  We are just happy GE gave us a slight break in the full cost.  That thing only lasted two years!  Just wrong how appliances nowadays break down so quick!  They used to last 30 years!  It is not like our old one and so it doesn't match the ovens or the trash compacter, but I AM JUST GLAD WE HAVE one!  We have been using a little old one of Skyler's for the past year!  That is what I mean by the red tape!  What a joke this whole thing has been to resolve!

dear first real snowstorm, we got a real storm that actually left snow on the ground!  It is so pretty!

dear decor for christmas, WHAT A RELIEF it is when I finally get all my decors up!  I am always a bit overwhelmed by the entire process because I put up a lot of decorations.  And while I do it I lament the whole time that I will have to take it all down in a month or less!  But, this year I tried to remember that I am doing it for a reason...not just for show or for tradition sake, but for a reason.  I told myself I was decorating because I want to show my gratitude and excitement for the birth of the Savior.  And if that isn't cause for a celebration worthy of taking a whole day to decorate, I don't know what is.  It really did take the better part of my day, but I felt such relief to get it done.  Now, to get the tree and get it decorated.  I did notice this year that it was really draining on me physically and emotionally.  The older I get, the harder it becomes.  It confuses me a bit.  Here I can run marathons but decorating made me so tired and exhausted.  This age thing is not for sissy's!  I think it would be so nice to have one tote of decorations and have it done in 30 minutes.  That is the simple way of doing things and I am sure that day is coming closer.   I am sure if I had grandkids it would be more fun, but I do have to say there were a lot of things I didn't want to put up but I did only because Skyler is bringing Sarah's little three year old for Christmas and I kept thinking how he would like some of the things I was going to bag this year.  I need to downsize Christmas too!  It really does take too much time and energy to go all out especially now that it's just the two of us here.  I finally get why my Mom didn't want to put up a tree many years.
I love seeing the beautiful winter wonderland through the windows
Mr. Cat was my assistant
Bye, bye Thanksgiving!

dear harp lesson, I am so excited because I had a good lesson and I even played my recital piece well this week!  She had me choose another Christmas song and I chose O Holy Night (my fave!) and I can't wait to learn it!
Her cute wreath!

dear spur of the moment fun, Dawn text me Tuesday morning to see if I was in the mood for a spontaneous trip to Orson Gygi's with her and Carla.  I was!  Since I was already in Kaysville for my harp lesson, we just met in Kaysville right after my lesson.  I haven't been there in years and I have been wanting to for a long time!  They have the best stuff for cake decorators!  Anyway, we ate at Arbies first and then headed to SLCIt was so fun to see all the fun stuff!  Dawn is going to teach us how to do professional caramel apples at our Christmas party and so she needed to get the stuff for that.  We had our usual fun!  We can find it wherever we go!
Sporting our chef coats.  Carla looks more like an MD than a chef!  lol
Come to mama!!!  11 lbs of BLISS!
Sporting the new line of pans.  We had a shell of a good time.  It was a-moo-zing and
a "bundt"- antly fun!  (Inside joke!)
Some of our shenanigans.   I found (and stole) these (pix below) off of Dawn's blog after I had already posted the above ones.  I was debating whether or not to add these, but it's all innocent fun and we know how to have fun doing the most immature things.  That's why we have fun.  We are immature!  hehe  Actually, we can find humor in just about ANY thing!  I love these chickas because they are willing to enjoy life to it's fullest without caring what anyone else thinks!  That, my friends is the secret to life!
Sorry about the duplicates!
I was SO excited because I found the PERFECT gift for a family member that I have been stressing out about what to give!  The coolest almond roaster with flavorings!

I did some Christmas shopping after and I got a lot done!  It's coming together!  I decided to stop at a bakery thrift store. There aren't any near my house and this one has my favorite Franz Twenty Four bread!  And so cheap!  I bought some for Taylor and for the freezer.  Some were only  $1.50 a loaf (regularly $4!).  The stuff on the left I bought.  The stuff on the right, I got free just for going in because it's going to expire.  Not bad!
I gave my car a bath as well.  One of my favorite things in life is to go through a car wash.  LOOK at those gorgeous colors!  Purples even!  If I ever have grandkids, hitting the car wash is going to be one of our regular things to do.  I will probably get more joy out of it than they will!  One of the simple pleasures in life!

dear officer ellsworth's viewing, since the viewing was in south Willard, I just met Dave there.  He rode with the Hollingsworths.  I thought for sure they would be in line for at least three hours, but when they arrived Pres. Wight told them to go get in line where he was.  I guess there are perks to the calling!  There were so many people there!  I got there just as they were getting to the casket.  It was a very solemn occasion.  There is definitely a brotherhood among the community of police officers.
Since Dave and Flint didn't have meetings until 8:00, we decided to go out to dinner.  We went to Bella's in Farr West.  I forgot to take photos, but it was really yummy!  I had Chicken Mole (of course!). So good!  Katherine had Benson, but he slept the entire time.  Dang!
We saw this on the way home.  It is only a mile or less from my home, and the most gorgeous decorated home in the city, in my opinion.  I call it the Gingerbread House.
 Look how amazing!

dear run, I found a lot of interesting things out there on Wednesday.  First, a wonderful winter scene with the creek.  Winter is a pretty season. Second, the flag on display everywhere in our city in honor of Officer Ellsworth. Third, I found a love note from heaven in the shape of a heart on the sidewalk. And fourth, I think Santa had a little too much to drink last night.  He was headless!  I tried to get behind him and put my head on his neck for the photo, but it didn't work out.  He is the Santa in the yard at the Gingerbread house above.  I hope he recovers soon.  He has a busy month ahead.  Or  should I say, A- "head"?

dear lunch, Ayako and Val and I have had a lunch planned for several weeks on Wednesday, but when we found out the funeral was the same day, we almost cancelled it.  However, none of us were going to the funeral and so we went ahead with it.  We went to the Rusted Spoon and I had the Zuppa Toscana soup. It was so good because it was so hot and it was so cold outside!

dear funeral, Dave had to sit on the stand at the funeral since he is the stake president of Officer Ellsworth even though the funeral was held at the Dee Events Center.  I am sure he was glad he didn't have to speak!  I was going to go, but when I heard it was going to be on TV, I decided to stay home and watch it instead since I had a conflict and would be sitting alone anyway.  It was fun to see Dave sitting up there on the stand.  He was with Elder McKay, Elder Laing, and Pres. Wight.  Bishop Munns conducted and spoke.
The governor and his wife were also seated on the stand and he gave a great talk, as did Janica, Officer Ellsworth's wife.
I stole some of these from KSL's webpage.  I have never seen so many police officers together in one place in my life.

It was an amazing funeral!  I missed some of it because I had to meet Val and Ayako for lunch.  On the way home from lunch, I was in awe of the way our community honored Eric.  It was an incredible sight to see American flags lined up on every street that the procession would go past. It was really a sight to behold.

I decided to head to the cemetery to get some photos and while there Dave called and said he was almost back.  I decided to wait for him and maybe take some photos of him at the interment.  He arrived and came and sat in my car. I was just east of the cemetery.  Then Flint came and joined us.
When the procession arrived (much later than anticipated ), we got out. But we stood there for a good hour waiting for all the officers to arrive because it took so long to get everyone out of the Dee Events Center and then so many cars trying to get to the cemetery caused a lot of traffic.  I got out only to take some quick photos since I was in my Levis and a light jacket and it was freezing!  Dave tried to get me to go with him to the interment, but I told him no because I wasn't in a dress and I felt it would be disrespectful.  He really wanted me to join him but I just stood off in the road.  Him and Flint went closer and I was ready to head out when he walked all the way back to me and begged me to come.  I relented but ONLY if he would hide me so no one could see I wasn't in a dress!  There were hundreds and hundreds of people there and so I was pretty sure I could hide.  However, a bit after we got there, he felt he needed to go stand by Bishop Munns for support.  I was by Nadine and so I was okay, but it was freezing!  The wind was relentless and cutting right through me.
There were so many policeman and troopers present that I am sure it would have been a great day to commit a crime!  However, I have never felt safer in my life with all those police officers and guns all right there. It was an amazing sight to see.  The pomp and circumstance that comes with a funeral for a fallen officer was incredible.  They had a helicopter fly-by and the troopers all surrounded the family in a square.  It was impossible to see what was going on but it was really amazing.  They did the gun salute and the bag pipes played as well as taps.  They presented his wife with several flags and each state presented her with a gift.  I only know this because Dave told me later.  I was behind too many troopers to have a clue what was going on. I just knew we waited and waited several times and we had no idea what was going on.  The saddest part of all was when they did the last radio call for him. Oh my.   I have never met the man, but that got to me and I couldn't hold back the tears.  That was hard.  I don't think there was a dry eye in the entire cemetery.  Very touching.  And very sad.  What a tribute to an awesome man.  Some of these photos I took, and others I got online.
Isn't this an amazing photo?  One of my FB friends took it.

dear taylor home, Taylor showed up on Wednesday.  His stitches are out and looking good.  He went to see Carrie Underwood in concert this week as well.  He posted these on Snapchat.  They were right at the front!

 dear december,
 WOW!  That came fast!

dear homemakers party, I made fudge to take to the party with my new pistachio flavoring I got at Orson Gygi's.  It was horrible. The flavoring ruined my fudge.  It did not taste anything like pistachio and had a bad aftertaste.  But, I didn't have time to make anything else and so took it.  Dave said it was good, but I know it wasn't.
The party was at Kathryn's home and it was a lot of fun. Beth always makes it fun.  We ate and then did a white elephant game.  I got a great silvery sparkle plaque and calendar that said something about letting your sparkle out and everyone said that was perfect for me and that nobody should take it from me. I was so happy they said that because I loved it!  But as the game goes, you can steal from others whatever gift you want.  Everyone was really good about not taking it from me, and I even tried to hide it, BUT Sharon decided she wanted it and so she took it!  Waaaaa!  I ended up with a Mary Englebright book.  Oh well.  But when I went to get in my car, there was the chocolate bar that was part of the gift she stole sitting on my car window.  Love that Sharon!  I took a huge box of donations to give to Angie for a silent auction for Officer Ellsworth's family.  I was happy to find a good home to them because it was stuff that was way too good for the DI (a lot of brand new items) and I hope it will help.

dear tree!  Dave and I both (gratefully!) had a night with NOTHING on the calendar and so we took advantage and went and got a Christmas tree!  Our usual place didn't have one that we liked but we found a really good one in Riverdale and so we broke tradition again and ate at Longhorn instead of Village Inn.  Not sure when we will get lights on it or decorated, but hey, we got one!
Searching but not finding at our first stop.
We had to go to two different places, but when I walked on this lot, I knew immediately which tree was ours.  It was the quickest we've ever picked one out.  Good thing too, because it was freezing!
It was so good!  I love their steak!  Their steak is better than anywhere else I have gone. I got spaghetti squash with maple butter as my side.  SO good! #fontprobs #stubborncomp

dear tyson's 11th angelversary,
Wow, it's hard to believe it's been that long.  This year has been a lot tougher for me than some.  I think it has to do with the fact that I have felt much closer to him lately because I just took apart his Festival of Tree's tree and I also spent a lot of time in his closet going through his stuff while cleaning.  Some years the days leading up to it are much worse than the actual day, but this year the days leading up to it AND the day were tough.  The morning was tough.  I was doing much better by evening.  I think in some ways once evening came, it was as if I knew I had made it through another year.  I am not sure how to describe how that day feels because unless you have lived through it yourself, there really are no words that can adequately describe what it's like.  I always try really hard to focus on the fact that we had him for 17 years instead of feeling sad we didn't have him longer.  That always helps me deal with it better.  But this year I found myself wishing he were here.  Wishing that I could have him in my life every single day again.  Luckily, after wallowing in it for a bit, I am able to flip back and focus on the gratitude that I had him at all.  But, oh how I miss that boy!  So. Much.
So beautiful!  From Jen
I have the most amazing friends who have always helped make this day a bit easier for me.  Bonnie gave me some amazing chocolate (toffee) and a lighthouse card and Jen sent me some beautiful flowers as she always does.  Audrey and Kim brought us over the traditional chocolate ecstasy as they do each year (we take them one on BJ's angelversary) - a wonderful tradition.  This year, it was nice because they came in and visited for a while and we all ate some together.  It's nice to have friends that "get" what you are going through.
The BEST toffee from Bonnie and a sweet poem about a Lighthouse.
Chocolate Ecstasy from the Olsen's. Mmm...

These ↓ popped up on my Facebook memories:
My dear friend Colleen made this quilt of Tyson's favorites!  It was a labor of love and it means so much to me!  Reading these today, made me tear up.
 My Facebook post:
Jodi  — thinking about my son.~~~~~~~~~~ December 2 at 9:00am Feeling heaven a little closer today as my heart fills with memories of my beloved son Tyson. 11 years ago today heaven was blessed with one earth's most amazing souls. How I miss his physical presence near me daily, though I do feel his spirit around me often as he continues to be part of our lives from the other side. There will always be a deep hole in our hearts where his laughter, humor, wit, smile, mischievousness :), kindness, bravery, courage, love, and mostly his giggle no longer reside except in our memories. So grateful for those 17 years we had to make those wonderful memories together. In honor of Tyson, I would challenge each of you as you go about your day today, to stop and remember that life is short and to CHERISH THE MOMENTS and hug everyone a little tighter. Each day is a gift! And also, please do an act of service in his name today to make the world a little brighter as he did each and every day to those around him! I and miss you bud. I'm sure you are hanging from some heavenly palm tree today providing entertainment for those above. Keep 'em laughing in heaven! _̴ı̴̴̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡*̡̡ ̴̡ı̴̴̡ ̡̡͡|̲̲̲͡͡͡ ̲̲͡ ̲̲̲͡͡π̲̲͡͡ ̲̲̲̲͡͡͡ ̲|̡̡̡ ̡ ̴̡ı̴̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡̡ FOREVER in our hearts...never forgotten. #missingyou
One of his friends posted this ↓.   I didn't see it until the next day and I wasn't sure if I should post it on here, because it's pretty raw, but I think it shows how hard it can be to lose someone and that life is precious and we should CHERISH each MOMENT because we never know which moment will possibly be our last with someone we love. She was a good friend to him and it's been hard for her.  She is now the mother of three: (unedited)

Sam's post:11Yrs.. How is it possible.. I remember like it was Last night. 11yrs ago my world changed forever, turned upside down.. at 16 my best friend passed away.. i remember thinking this isnt happening.. this cant be real.. and now 11yrs later im still Broken, Still Heartbroken in so many ways! Remembering waking up the next morning and having to go to a cheer comp.. watching everyone lives around me still the same like nothing happened, and mine was silently crashing down around me. Nothing could of prepared me for it.. and still now some Heartaches never fully heal, You change in ways that make it easier to cope but never fully recover.. after going through so much i was thankful you were out of pain but i was so young and confused.. and heartbroken.. you knew everything about me, You were the best pen pal. and i can still hear your dad as he stood at the podium at your funeral "Sam, He wanted you know how much he loved you and was thankful for you in his life".. when your brother hugged me crying asking"Will you marry me? So you can be in our family forever".. Has Anyone heard of foreboding Joy? Few months ago i got foot zoned and one thing she picked up on immediately picked up on the fact i was STILL suffering from so much..from not feeling good enough, Disappointment, the fear of Failure, of loss, having the people walk out of my life. ether intentional or because heaven needed them more then me... i felt like my world was crashing down upon me and my way of coping is to forget it happened.. put up walls. I never realized even now how many walls i had up built unknowingly.. to protect Myself from my greatest fear.. working to get to a better place in my life daily.. Tyson you have changed my Life in so many ways, Taught me so many life Lessons, Showed me.. and helped me when i needed it most and still to this day have been one of my only True friends.. thank you so much! Cant imagine the view from up there, i bet its spectacular! #CanYouImagineTheViewFromHeaven #IBetItsSpectacular #ForebodingJoy

dear lunch with taylor, on Friday I had to go to Logan to get some paint for the boy's bathroom and so after my run, I called Taylor to see if he could go to lunch.  He isn't one to turn down food at any time of day and so naturally he said he could.  He invited Travis to come as well and I met them at Rumbi Grill.  They had burgers and I had a rice bowl, but I stole a couple of those divine sweet potato fries!  I got the scoop on Taylor's love life from Travis but only with a bribe of Chocolate Lava cake.  lol It was fun!  I then ran and grabbed the paint and did some Christmas shopping while there.  I wanted to stay busy to keep my mind off the fact that it was Tyson's angelversary.  I was supposed to help my niece move into her apartment in Provo today, but I had to get the bathroom going and I just am not sure how I could pull it all off.  Time crunch is happening now!  Taylor headed to my nieces in Provo to go on a date with one of her friends.  They went to Midway to swim in the water tunnel thing.  He spent the night there at her family's house.

dear date night, tonight for our date night, after we visited with Audrey and Kim we went to Taco Time for dinner and then delivered some blankets to some people who were collecting them for the homeless in SLC.  I saw a post on the classifieds on FB about it and I just happened to have a huge stack of them I wanted to go to someone who needed them instead of just the DI.   I was grateful for a place to take them where I know they will go to good use.  Dave and I went to the humble house where they live, but no one answered the door. I messaged the people and he wrote back and said that they were sorry but they were at the ER because his wife was having complications due to her transplant.  What?  Oh my.  I felt so bad. Here these people are having serious health issues and definitely not wealthy, and yet they are the ones giving to the homeless when so many of us who have so much more are not. Isn't that the way it is?  Those who have the least are the most giving.  It really touched me and I was so overwhelmed with emotion.  I don't think it was a coincidence that this happened on Tyson's angelversary.

dear saturday, I had planned on doing a run of seven or eight miles this morning, but holy hailstones, it was freezing!  It would have been okay but the wind was biting my nose...and eyes and cheeks (both cheeks - I mean all four!)... and my entire face and I couldn't take more than three miles.  You can tell I am not as conditioned and acclimatized as before my injury.  What a wimp!  Happy Decem-burrrrrrr!

dear brigham home show, Robin picked me up and we toured about 10 homes in town that were decorated for Christmas.  The homes they  choose always vary in style, size and taste.  This year was no different.  I loved seeing them all.  I took some photos of the things I really liked about some of them.  The only bad thing about going to this is that I come home and want a new house!  And new furniture!  I guess I will need a new inheritance if that is to happen!
This ↓ home belongs to a family with 10 children and another on the way. It was HUGE!

dear medical Christmas party, Dave really didn't want to go to the party because Taylor was here and he was helping him do a lot of stuff around the house and he wanted to get it done, but we had already RSVP'd that we were coming and I really wanted to go.  It's the only time all year I get to visit with the other doctor's wives.  And you get to dress up and it's always catered by Iron Gate Grill which is my favorite!  Somehow I talked him into going and I am so glad I did.  It was a great night and the food was amazing and I got to talk to Misao and met a new young couple that I adored.  Both Dr. Ashdown and Dr. Sumko told me I looked "fantastic"I really didn't, but it was very sweet of them.  The young guy who entertained us was amazing!  He sounded exactly like Michael Buble!   Dave and I headed to Walmart after the party to get some more lights for the tree.
Dave's parents, the AMAZING singer and the incredible food from Iron Gate Grill.

dear sunday school class, as part of my lesson, I talked about the church's Light the World challenge that is happening now.  I have been trying to do it and so I challenged them to do it as well.  I also invited Dave to come in and talk about how he felt each time he was given a new calling.  That was what the lesson was really on, but I also felt inspired to talk about the people who were collecting the blankets for the homeless and as I was telling them the story of how they were at the ER, I started to cry!  Yes, me!  It has been an emotional week!  Dave told them that I almost never cry and that what I said meant a lot to me to make me cry.  Then I had to play the piano in RS right after (that should have made everybody else cry - oh man I bombed!)I did great for the prelude (well not really but the sisters talk so loud no one would notice if I flubbed up) and the opening song was near perfect...BUT...when I played the closing song (Joy to the World) which is really quite easy and I can play it without any mistakes AT HOME, but I totally ate it!  OH MY! I made one mistake at the beginning and it was over.  I kept making mistakes in the same place every verse!  They were not little unnoticeable mistakes either!  These were doozeys!  I felt like I wanted to crawl in a hole!  Either that or stand up and take a bow after!  Sheesh!  UGH!  I feel like it doesn't matter how much I practice or how well I have the song down, once I get up to play it in RS, anything can happen!  I have to laugh though because Colleen always tells the story of the Sunday after Tyson passed away she was conducting the opening song in sacrament meeting and it was Joy to the World.  She said, she had tears just streaming down her face because she was so sad about Tyson and here we were singing Joy to the World.  That song always reminds her of Tyson now.   I just had to laugh and look heavenword and say, "Thanks Tyson for the reminder!"  Either that or literally go crawl in a hole.  There is always a way to laugh yourself out of embarrassing situations!

dear christmas tree, Dave and I finally found some time to decorate the tree!  He did the lights and then I did the trimmings.  We both did the ornaments.  What a relief to have that done!
Sorry for the overload on the tree pictures, but each one has different lighting and it looks different each time.
Mr. Cat immediately went to lay on the tree skirt making sure to get his fur all over it, because I have lots of time like that to spend cleaning his hair off of it!  Not!

dear sunday dinner, aka Thanksgiving dinner.  Taylor and his roommates all took dates to the Christmas devotional in SLC and he text us Sunday morning and asked us if we would fix dinner for them all on their way back to Logan.  We figured they would be here about 8:30 p.m. which was perfect because that is when we would be ending our fast (due to the medical dinner last night).  Dave wanted to do a turkey and the trimmings and so he did that and I made homemade rolls and a salad.  It turned out so delish!  Taylor and his date showed up at 9:00 but his roommates were an hour behind them!  So we ate without them!  We kept it all warm for when they got here.  It was fun talking to them.  Brad wants me to teach him how to decorate wedding cakes as does Taylor.  They are such cute boys.  Brad has a gf!

Kendra helped Taylor put on some of his ornaments
When everyone arrived.
Travis' date lives in SLC and so they took her home before they came here.
Is this the same animal? I actually caught him in a yawn, but he looks so fierce and lion like!

dear mr. cat,
He thinks he is the King.

dear random, SADLY McKay's package we mailed to him in August was returned unopened.  Talk about a waste of almost $90 we spent on postage!

THIS IS SO ME!  Looks like a purple Grinch suit!  I need me one of these!
Innocence?  Hahahhahaha!  Only posting this because I love that our family picture is inside the hand.
Can't remember where I got this but it was a really good talk! lol
Oh so real!  It's really quite the relief to not have to worry about that anymore!  We started the ELF thing WAY before Elf on the Shelf was popular.  I kick myself every Christmas for not marketing the idea!  Ours was never mischievous though, he just came to spy on the boys so he could report to Santa.
Oh-oh!
Below is a post I did on Facebook this week and I absolutely LOVED reading everyone's comments about a memory we share.  It brought so many great memories and laughs for me and so I want to always remember them so I am posting it here.  I am thinking I may do a separate post though but until I have time, I will leave it here.
If you're reading this, even if we barely talk, comment with a memory you have of us. After you're done post this on your wall. You'd be surprised with what people remember about you.! :)

Lori Moore Purple and White!
What great fun we had , the group from OHS and the group from BHS:). We made awesome memories together! Remember the spring break trip to St George? How long it took little miss Havertz to get even more beautiful than she already was?! Lol
Jodi Such fun times together! I will always remember the spring break trip to St. G! Sherri was at her own speed! lol I remember getting complaints at the hotel cause we were too loud! Good laughs!
Lori Moore Yes I remember that too! I think the too loud was all the giggles!
Sherri Simmons I have to laugh every time I think about this trip.I remember waiting/part sleeping on the floor, in the entrance of a hotel/casino. We were waiting for the rest of our group. Some of us weren't 21 yet and couldn't enter the casino. Jodi, do you remember a club called the Tiger Tamers?

Kassie Jensen I seem to remember a baton being involved😛
Jodi  Oh yes! You were one of my best students!

Terese Tolley Cache valley tri!!! <3 :)

Alice Batzel You and David were newlyweds, living in the basement apartment of our rented home. You had a clogging school down there and I loved hearing all of the music and seeing all of the dance students come and go. You made our living there so joyful!
Jodi Oh Alice! I apologize if the music was too loud! Well, it was probably the clogging that was too loud coming up from that tiny little dance studio! You were a good sport! You guys were the best neighbors! Sometimes I could hear Joe singing in his incredible opera voice!
Alice Batzel  Yes, we often did have a spontaneous Elvis concert coming from our shower! I loved the clogging music and your students! We really missed you after you and David moved so that he could attend medical school. Good memories!

Jalyn Cobbley being loyal Basketball Mom's then Mussionary Mom's
Jodi  Such a great group of boys!

Julie Wilding Dustin First time I met you (I was a little girl). I ran and grabbed my measuring tape and measured your waist. You are still just as tiny! Baton and clogging classes, girls flings, water - a cup- a quarter at Maddox. 😂
Jodi I will never forget that Julie! LOL I even remember what I was wearing when you measured my waist! I loved teaching you guys baton and clogging! Oh my gosh, I forgot about the water and quarter at Maddox! Dave was ready to disown me! hehe

Doug Goff I have plenty of them . . .

Jodi  :)

Sandy Gailey Butler There are a lot of memories. Slumber parties, laughing together, the memories go back to when we were in third grade.
Brittanie Knezovich The coolest part of this post, for me, is seeing my aunt from one side of the family and my cousin from the other side of the family reminisce!!! Love you both
Jodi Third grade when I wore my knee high socks ABOVE the knee? Remember that? lol

Julie Crimin Davies During an LDSSA devotional, we were both sitting on the stand (in our uniforms) and something (I don't remember what) struck us both as being funny (but it wasn't appropriate to boldly laugh). The more we tried not to giggle, the worse it was. I admired how composed you were able to remain. I don't think I did as well with my composure. But it was fun.
Jodi  Oh Julie, I barely remember that! I am shocked that I was the one composed! That's not the norm! lol It was probably some apostle speaking too! hehe

Robin Christiansen Combe Wow, there are so many to choose from. The 9th ward, all our school years, fun times at Bonneville high, Weber State, our trips, getting married and being in each other's weddings, our kids and our fun now. One that I obviously won't forget is when you were driving us home on New Year's Eve and decided to make the car dance to the song on the radio by swerving back and forth on the icy road. We did donuts and ended up in the ditch and we didn't really even bat an eye. We are lucky we have made it this far with all the crazy things we have done. Here's to many more. Love you JoJo.
Jodi  We've had some good laughs over the years! Haha in my mom's Cutless Supreme! And remember I told you to pretend we were dead after we ended up in the ditch, but I turned off the car and so they knew we were alive! hahahaha Good times! Love you too Bonzo!

Jani McKean Thomas I remember we both showed up wearing the same dress to our 30 year high school reunion..... Lol. But you looked so much cuter than me in it....
Jodi  That was funny! Trust me, I was thinking the same thing about you! Love ya sista!

David Lee Carter Can I make a good one up?

I always love your fun pictures with Dawn and Carla. They crack me up!
I totally understand your feelings about Tyson's angelversary. No matter how much you try to prepare the day just seems to get to you. It was great to visit with you.
Just so you know - I totally bombed the closing song in Relief Society this week! I guess we are even now.
Your Christmas tree is absolutely gorgeous! WOW!
