Breakfast ~ Did your week go as planned? Not exactly.  Sky was supposed to arrive on Tuesday night but he didn't get here until early Wednesday due to a terrible blizzard he got caught in driving here from CA.   I was hoping to get my new aligners but they weren't done when I went in.
Lunch ~ What happened this week that was unexpected? A wonderful family friend of ours was killed in a car accident on Wednesday morning.  He was only 28 and such a great person.  He left a wife and two little girls as well as one on the way.  So very sad.   We ended up changing the date of our Bishop's Wives luncheon because the funeral is scheduled at the same time.
Dinner ~  What is your go to meal when company is over or when you have to take a meal to someone? I sometimes make the mistake of trying out a new recipe when I have company or need to take in a meal. I guess it's because I get tired of my tried and true things forgetting it would be new to others.  Or I like to take Lasagna, spaghetti, or a casserole.  But I really need a good go to meal that I can just do each time so I don't have to think about what to take each time.  I took a meal to a couple this week and the recipe was a new one and I wasn't too happy with it.
Midnight Snack ~ What are you doing this weekend? Friday night, we had a nice dinner with Skyler who arrived on Wednesday.  I have a long run to do on Saturday as well as a talk to write for Sacrament meeting on Sunday, along with my Sunday School lesson. We also have a viewing to attend Sunday night.  It's nice that I don't have to be anywhere on Saturday. I really need to get some cleaning time in as well.
Recipe for the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for the week?)
Simply DO NOT get caught up in others moods.  If they are having a bad day try and make it better for them.  I also read a quote this week on a little sign in front of a store that really made me want to do better. It said: WHEREVER THERE IS A HUMAN BEING THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR KINDNESS.   That is such a good reminder that EVERYONE is human even if they aren't acting like it and maybe all they need is for someone to be kind to them so they start acting human again.

What a great recipe! I love it. I have been so emotional over Austin's death and my heart just hurts for Marissa and the girls, and well as the parents. Fun that Sky is going to be here!

That is the best recipe for the week. I'm going to remember that one.

Speaking of recipes...you brought Jill and Richard the most amazing chocolate cake/brownie with coconut on top this week, right? It had to be rationed out so I only got a little bite, but it was A-MAZING. I'm wondering if you share the recipe. (I don't blame you if you don't...it's that good! ;)
