Where Did I Go??? Am I Back???

It's no secret I have been a bit neglectful of my blog as of late. I haven't completely gone AWOL, but I have taken a little hiatus or so it seems. Now, in my defense I want you to know I did not do this consciously. Oh no. I don't even think I did it subconsciously. It just happened. The truth be told, I think I got a little BLOGGED OUT. I was averaging about four blog posts a week (some times even more) since the beginning of my blogged-ness and now lately I am lucky if I post once. What is the reason for this slothfulness you ask?

TIME!

There is only so much of it in one day and I think I was getting just a bit burned out with blogging after doing it so faithfully for so long. Summer hit hard and busy. Fall hit hard and busier! Well, that AND the fact that I WON the Sego Lily Day Spa contest which means I am also currently blogging for them. Those posts take much more time than my own personal ones because they are being read by large numbers of peeps and it is huge publicity for them. You can read them HERE. And don't forget the time I now "must" spend at the Spa itself. It's a tough job for sure, but SOMEBODY has to do it. No worries, I will sacrifice and take that one on ~ being the martyr that I am. Then, of course, I got entangled in the great blog arch enemy...

FACEBOOK!

I do have to say that Facebook is very enticing. I have reconnected with so many old friends (some from way back in elementary school!) and it is so great to stay in touch with my old pals that I thought I had lost contact with forever. My class reunion prompted so many in my graduating class to join and it has been so amazing to see what everyone is now up to. I have to admit I LOVE reconnecting with so many peeps! I am even in touch now with relatives that I never saw or talked to EVER because there was never a way to really do that. Facebook definitely has a lot of perks. You can send messages (like email), instant message, create endless photo albums, read what others are doing on the spot, send hugs, flowers, gifts of all kinds, poke, take quizzes, have food fights, grow farms, have a pet, play all kinds of games, post videos, get instant feedback on whatever is on your mind, you can write notes, support causes, and even countdown to important events. There is just so much you can do on it. It's outrageous! But as much as I have loved facebooking, I have missed my bloggy friends that are facebook-less very much! Then there's always the problem of...

GETTING SO FAR BEHIND I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN!!!

As all you bloggers know, keeping current on your blog posts is pretty crucial to maintaining a blog. Once you get behind, it is so overwhelming to catch up! I am so behind now, that I have decided I will NEVER catch up! So I have decided to apply the same principle to this that I do with my journal writing. That is to just start with today and not worry about catching up or it will never happen! So that brings me to the fact that it is
FINALLY...

TIME FOR A CHANGE!

I have missed going to your blogs and you commenting on mine! I am so amazed to those faithful few that have continued to read mine and comment even though I wasn't reading yours or posting regularly. To you, I say thank you! Your support has made me decide to get back on the horse and try and stay a little more current with my blogging! Now I am not promising that it will be back to the way it was before with all my weekly things I kept up on (Serenity Sunday, Thoughtful Thursday, Parenting tips on Wednesdays, Friday Memes, Saturday Nines, Not Me Mondays, etc), but I do promise I will TRY hard to at least keep current on my daily-ness of life. Or maybe I should say weekly-ness of life. Either way, I am going to do better! Blogging is great therapy for me and I love the fact that I get to keep a personal history at the same time I am being theraperized!!! Now as I write this, I am not sure where I am going to find the time I need to do what I so desire, but somehow, someway, I will find a way. It might not happen overnight, or even overweek, but I will get more regular (sounds like a commercial for Exlax!) Here's to blogging!

BLOG ON BABY!!!

Oh-oh.... now that I have resolved to be a better blogger, I just realized that the busiest time of year is about to hit!

HO
HO
HO!!!

I too love Facebook, but it does take time away from blogging. I am so glad that you are back. I have missed you! :-)

I have missed reading your blogs, Jodi, but I know you are way busy. It should be something you want to do, not something you have to. But how do you fit in all the things you WANT to do? When you find out, let me know!
