*MONDAY MEMOS*

(If pictures are too small, just click to enlarge)
Weekly recap of my rather crazy, insane, but fun and rewarding life!

dear monday, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!  Today it was pouring hard when I woke up.  We have had so much rain. I was kicking myself that I didn't suggest we go to the cemetery yesterday when everyone was home (except Taylor) so we could  have got a photo with more of the fam in it and less rain in it, but oh well.  Such is life.  We met my parents at the cemetery, the very cold and wet cemetery. We had our umbrellas but put them down for the photo.  It was wet!  We didn't see many peeps this year because of the weather and there weren't nearly as many people as usual. I did see cute Cindy H from PT.  She came over and chatted with me.  She is such a sweet and just cute person.

It's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. #remembering

We headed to J&D's after for breakfast.
They had pictures of dogs on the menu. They really did!  Kind of ruined my appetite!  Ruff!
We came home and I was not feeling too great and so I actually took a little rest.  It felt so good.  I worked on some photos for a bit and then Bryce, Haylie and the kiddos showed up.  They were so cute and Brinlee wanted me to read her the Llama book.  Liam was so cute as well.

I made some breakfast cookies (with my homemade granola) and then we played for a bit.
Here is the recipe:
Breakfast Cookies
1/2 shortening
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups granola
1 c chocolate chips

Cream together shortening and brown sugar.  Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture. Stir in granola and choc chips. Bake at 350° for 9-10 minutes.

We went outside for a while because it turned into a beautiful day after all.  Chilly, but sunny.  Dave smoked burgers and I had fun chatting with Haylie.  She told me that Taylor took off with a beautiful brunette girl on the four wheeler.  I had no idea what she was talking about, but a girl came and they left on the four wheeler.  Dave text him and he said they would be back to eat.  So, I tried to straighten things up a bit. I have seriously had no time to clean because we have had peeps here for the past three days non stop.  Which I love, but I just spend the time with them instead of checking off my To Do list.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  They arrived and she was a very pretty girl with gorgeous teeth and long gorgeous brunette hair.  I tried to get to know her a bit. She is from Oregon and attending USU in the nursing program and she is a runner.  She knew all about Boston in 2018 and how bad it was and we had fun chatting about running and Sarah Sellers etc. She ran for Boise State before she came here and got injured.  She said she was running up to 70 miles a week and she had at least 7 stress fractures from the over training. She had to take some time off to heal. She is very sweet and they are cute together.

We had a bonfire after dinner and Liam was cracking us all up.  He is a character.  It was a lot of fun.

Liam had fun playing with Scratchers.  That cat is so beautiful.  I honestly don't think I have ever seen a more beautiful cat.  His paws are huge and his eyes are crystal blue.  His face looks like a tigers.  He walks like a majestic lion. And he's nice to kids.
I didn't get to the harp or putting away my spring/Easter decors or get this caught up.  Oh well. Tomorrow I have my lesson and so I will have to get up super early to cram in some practice.

dear tuesday, I went to harp and it went well. I ran errands after including Costco, the mall, etc.  I went and looked at some new couches too.
After I got home, Bryce brought the cute kids over.
We played and read and then he took them in the basement to watch a movie.  I worked on my  email, then it rained.  Again.  I'm not complaining because I LOVE it!  But I had to get Dave's father's gifts inside by myself which was a hammock and a very heavy ladder. I was soaked.

dear wednesday, today I went to Wallies, Seagull, PT,  and then came home.  Betsy dropped by for a visit.  She brought me some Christmas gifts.  She has also had  a rough several months.
I put away Easter, put my summer decors, cleaned, went to Wallies again and the Room Loft and then finished cleaning the house.
I picked up Dave from work. So much fun not having enough cars.  McKay went and visited Weston and said he seemed totally normal. It rained a bit again.  I went with Robin to PT to wish Darrin a Happy 40th Birthday.
I talked to Jerry on Dad's phone while they were at Madi's graduation. They invited me to El Matador and I almost went.

dear thursday, this morning I took McKay to the airport.  He is heading to Tennessee to be a zipline tour guide for the summer with CJ and Taylor. Taylor will join him them in two weeks.
I ran some errands mostly to get stuff for tea party with Brinlee this afternoon. I hit Dilly Dally's Target, Ross, Burlington, Quilted Bear, Pretzel Maker etc.  I came home and had to have Taylor help me get ready for the tea party.  I only had 30 minutes to throw it together.  Then Brinlee arrived with Haylie and Liam. It was SO fun!  My first tea party!  I gave her a big basket of favors... jewelry, fingernail polish, lip gloss, unicorn headband, crown, treats, and lots of little things.

TEA PARTY!

I put chocolate milk in the tea pot and we had lots of treats. Liam joined in. He broke a plate and the gazing ball.  Haha Like that's never happened.  Haylie hung out and we chatted.

It was SO cute when Bryce got here from work because Liam was so happy to see Bryce when he got home.  So cute.  It was fun to see how much he loves Bryce.

Robin brought shirt over with medal and card. Can't believe she does that for me.  It made me shed a few tears.  She is what you call a true friend.  I am still in awe she did this for me....again.

We had spaghetti for dinner. Sky and crew arrived with all their belongings in the trailer and Escalade.  Moved completely out.  They are staying here until they can get in the apartment.  but it was so late so didn't get to visit much.  I did my PT late.

This was Carson answering his door when I stopped by to visit earlier after I dropped off McKay.
The last time he will answer this door at his house in Layton.
His mom sent me these cute pix of him at his last day of Kindergarten.  This is Lyla.  He loves her and she loves him. She even wrote it in chalk!  LOL He cracks me up when he talks about her.  He gets all embarrassed.  So hilarious.

dear friday, I got ready early today and then I cut Taylor's hair.  Carson watched me cut it. I then went to PT.  I am still stuck at a 2 cold, -2 -3 warm.  My flexion is 155 with my heel touching my butt finally! Yes! I keep trying and practicing squatting but it's so hard and seems impossible that I will ever be able to do that again.  I came home and Carson was so happy to see me. He is SO cute.  We made Popsicles and then went outside for a bit.  It was one HOT day.  I organized the Lazy Susan for the 100th time. Not sure how things multiply in there but they do.  Carson took a nap and I practiced the harp and then worked on some photos and then we walked to park and he rode on his scooter. Sarah came with us. We played Purple Land.  We walked to Linda's, but she was not home. We talked to Tammy on the way back.

Then Betsy and Don was at the park and we chatted with them.  When we got home, Carson painted I made banana nut bread.  Dave  got home and we had burgers.

dear saturday, I headed on a walk.  Didn't get as far as I hoped and I only found three coins. Bummer.

I did some yard work...pruning trees, cutting and trimming back lots of plants. Carson helped me.  He then went to the apt to help mow the lawn.  I chatted with Sarah while I did more yard work.  I cleaned out my shoes in the closet. I am trying to organize at least one thing each day. I took Carson to Kent's with me to get some chocolate coins for my Sunbeam lesson.  Then we went to the cemetery. He loved looking at the graves.  He put up all the flowers that had fallen over. So sweet.

We watched Harry and the Henderson's for a bit while I did my PT.  Gary text me and told him and his family is fasting for me tomorrow and that he asked Elder Randall and his wife to join in as well.  I am very humbled.

These are the ones I am going to get enlarged I guess. I am still not really happy with them, because Bryce's leg is cut off and so I can't do a canvas wrap and my mom is not smiling really in any of them and my Dad's pose (thought it totally cracks me up) is not exactly professional quality, LOL...but it is what it is.

dear sunday, today was fast Sunday.  I decided to ask a few people to pray for my ankle and to add me to their fast if they were fasting today.  I see the specialist on Friday and I am hoping for good news. But, all in all, I think I have accepted whatever is His will and I will be okay with it. He knows all things and even though it's going to be pure torture to give up running if I have to, I will cope and make the best of it.  I am pretty upset of how my body has changed through it all.  My legs look nothing like my legs.  I have an impostor's legs.  Especially my knees. I have no idea how my knees on both legs could have morphed so much.  They are NOT mine!  I don't know if it's the muscle tone that has vanished or if it's partly injury, blood clots, etc., but whatever it is, I want my legs back!  It's very sad.  VERY sad.  They look so....not mine!  And how come no one ever told me you get wrinkles on your knees?  Yeah, that's a thing!

Church was good. I taught Primary and it went well.  They loved the chocolate coins and most of them ate them all. I am not sure they got the concept of tithing though.  Oh well, they are three.  Hah  We had a BBQ because Dave had to try out his smoker again. He's been using that thing a lot lately. I invited my parents.  Bryce and crew also came.  It was a very fun day having everyone over.

Grammy played Round-a-Bit with Liam. He loves that.  We had a lot of fun hanging out.

I love it when everyone is here and we just hang out.  Dave's parents dropped by as well, but I didn't get a photo with them.

dear quotes,
