MY ANSWERS

Breakfast
What is occupying your mind right this minute?
Worrying about Bryce starving to death at college. I am going up there today to visit him and take him grocery shopping. I think he is living on canned soup! My other son, Skyler, that is in college, eats well because he knows how to cook. Bryce is good at making brownies and treats, but not 'real' food. Did I just say brownies are not 'real' food? Nix that!

Lunch
What is your favorite FALL recipe? Share it if you want.
I have so many! I LOVE fall soups made with everything imaginable from the garden. I love pumpkin squares, pumpkin rolls, wassail, zucchini brownies, and hot homemade bread out of the oven! Go here for the Pumpkin Square recipe.

Dinner
What are your Halloween traditions? (If you don't celebrate Halloween, what are your fall traditions?)
I LOVE ♥ Halloween and I LOVE ♥ traditions! I always make a Halloween dinner the Monday before Halloween that consists of lots of spooky menu items. Go here for the menu and to see the pictures of that. Costumes are a must. I prefer the homemade kind. Go here to see some of those. We always have my parents and sometimes bro and his fam over to eat another crazy spooky dinner on Halloween night (though different than the first one) and then go trick or treating. Now my boys are getting older and don't do the trick or treat thing, I REALLY miss that! I need grand babies!!! I used to make a Haunted Halloween Gingerbread house each year as well, but haven't for a few. Those are so much fun, but a lot of work! I love going to haunted corn mazes, spook alleys, haunted houses and anything that will scare me. Why I like to be scared is beyond me, because I do get really scared and scream loud!
I ♥ Halloween!

Midnight Snack
When is the last time you received a traffic violation?
Umm...about a month ago. I was NOT happy because the officer "claimed" I was going much faster than I actually was. I would have fought it but he offered me the option of attending "Traffic School" to eliminate the ticket cost. Sounded like a lot less hassle and so I opted to do that. The class ended up costing $75! It's a total scam! I should have fought it! However, I attended the class last night that was supposed to be a two hour class but the teacher only kept us there for 20 minutes due to a serious accident that just occurred that he was involved in. Can't beat that time wise, but it still drives me nuts it cost $75! Of course, I could've done it on line for a mere $100!!!!

Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?)
Enjoy what you have while you have it, for nothing stays the same. The weather this week has proved that point loud and clear!!!

1. I have a history of dropping cell phones, cameras, video cameras...anything electronic and expensive!

2. What would possess a bunch of men to arise at 3 a.m. in order to go freeze in a camo boat just to shoot a bunch of ducks is something I wish I knew. My men will be doing that in the morning. NUTS!

3. I'm eating (or recently ate) granola. Yeah, yeah, I know I surprised you all that I didn't write chocolate!

4. Traditionally this weekend (UEA - kids out of school Thur and Fri) we are on the road.

5. So that's it, that's the only chocolate I get?

6. "Some" is always better than nothing! And being grateful for even 'some' makes life so much better!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to we actually have NO plans! That's a shocker. Usually we would be attending a high school football game but they have a bye this week due to kids being out of school for the Utah Educational Association meetings. I am hoping we will go out to a movie and maybe dinner, tomorrow my plans include attending McKay's little league football game, watching conference, making the traditional Autumn Soup and hot rolls for my men to eat after the Priesthood session of conference since I will be all alone :o(, and maybe catch up on my blog!, and Sunday, I want to enjoy watching the broadcast of the LDS General Conference in the comfort of my own home, eat our traditional German Puff Pancakes between sessions, then attend a meeting to plan our youth Road Show that I have been asked to help write.

I played along. I'm sure your son isn't starving, but I love that you are going to go take care of him. You are such a good mom. I also love all your Halloween traditions. You rock, Jodi! :-)
