Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions:
Lunch ~ Name a tradition you have for Thanksgiving.
Dinner ~ Where are you eating your Thanksgiving feast this year and what dishes are you making?
Midnight Snack ~ Do you go BLACK FRIDAY shopping? Why or why not?
Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)
Lunch ~ Name a tradition you have for Thanksgiving. I always go for a run, then watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade while I prepare food. The boys watch football We spend it with family each year. I like to watch a Christmas movie that night (usually Home Alone). I really don't have any really special traditions for this holiday other than talking about what we are grateful for. Surprising I know!
Dinner ~ Where are you eating your Thanksgiving feast this year and what dishes are you making? At Dave's sister's house in Kaysville. We are taking a couple racks of ribs and green bean casserole.
Midnight Snack ~ Do you go BLACK FRIDAY shopping? Why or why not? Yes I do! I used to LOVE it when they actually did it on Friday! But I REFUSE to go shopping on a family holiday. So I still wait and go on Friday. It IS called black FRIDAY after all. And the past two years, I have gone around 7:00 a.m. and got everything I wanted without standing in long lines! To me it's just wrong that people have to leave their family gatherings to go to work just so we can shop. There is no reason to have it on Thanksgiving DAY! Truly NO reason other than the greed of the marketers. To me it goes completely opposite of what Thanksgiving represents. Okay, stepping off my soapbox now! ☺Now watch, I will end up going just because I wrote that! haha (So much for FAST and EASY answers!)
