Thoughtful Thursday

How to deal with the difficult people in your life.

What a GRATE idea!

"The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it." {Charles Swindoll}

"The unhappy person resents it when you try to cheer him up, because that means he has to stop dwelling on himself and start paying attention to the universe. Unhappiness is the ultimate form of self-indulgence. When you're unhappy, you get to pay a lot of attention to yourself. You get to take yourself oh so very seriously." ~Tom Robbins

this is a great post -
and it kept getting better and better
one thing that is a sure sign of a healthy situation (relationship, fellowship, organization, etc) is laughter - i think we should elect more politicians based on laughter, we should worship at churches where laughter is listed as an activity in the bulletin, we should be in relationships with laughter, we should laugh with family at least at one meal a day! ...
How about attending
"First Merry Heart Church" -
I think I'd want to go there :)
thanks for the post-
i am feeling a bit of creativity today - good contact!

Awesome thoughts Jodi. I needed to hear this.

Love the categorizing of chores one! I think I may have already adopted it. I always need that good reminder on attitude and that we can't change the way other people act. I find that diet coke and chocolate work better than getting upset.

Where can I pick up one of those "graters"? LOL.

Great thoughts Jodi... there is so much there that I can improve on.

Omigosh, Jodi, I hope you are not mad at me, but after my day at the high school... I wanted to steal that roll of toliet paper... and so I DID! I stole it and posted it on my blog! BUT, I DID give YOU credit!!! HAHAHA! That is such a GREAT picture!!!

AND you are SO right... it IS up to US to CHOOSE how we will react to others! THANK YOU!

Those are all great. I'm going to have to come back when I get home so I can write them down and put them where I can be reminded on a daily basis.
