HEY Batter, Batter!

Batter Blaster!!!

Yes, pancakes in a can! Who would've thought? Now I know some of you more savvy consumers have already tried this, and undoubtedly have your own opinion of it. But as for me, I read about it on a blog a few months ago and never saw it in the store until a couple of weeks ago. I had heard it was sold at Costco but I found it at Sam's Club. I was excited to find it and so I jumped at the chance to try it. I thought it was a little pricey for pancake batter (Sam's sales it for $9.50 for a pack of three) but I wanted to try it and so I succumbed.

I was really excited to try it out! I love new things that scream, "Now WHY didn't "I" think of that?" I have to admit I didn't expect it to taste all that great, but I was pleasantly surprised that the pancakes were quite tasty. It is made from all organic ingredients which is a plus (and I'm not even a tree-hugger!) with growing boys.

The best part of all is it is SO easy that my boys wanted to do it! I have tried really hard to teach my boys to cook mainly so they won't starve on their missions and my future daughter-in-laws will call me blessed someday...and most of them are pretty good and capable cooks. But my Taylor is always begging ME to make him something for breakfast...he usually requests crepe's or german pancakes...and even though HE can make them (though he claims he can't), I usually end up doing it for him. But now with my new secret weapon in a can, there is NO excuse for him to not make his own and have FUN while doing it! They are so EASY! And did I mention FUN?!

The best part is there is NO MESS to clean up (with the exception of the pan) and if you make waffles, there isn't even a pan! I have to admit (even though I don't mind mixing my own pancakes) that this is a great invention, if not only for those crazy times when you are trying to save a few minutes. They are more expensive than just making your own, but sometimes the extra cost is worth the trade in less hassle.

Oh, and did I mention that it is a lot of FUN too??? You can now make all those creative shapes you have always tried to do but never turned out quite right...i.e. Mickey Mouse, Bunny Ears, 's, and even WORDS! FUN! FUN! FUN!

Bryce making the Blatter Blaster pancakes while his cousin Weston observes and samples

Bryce is very picky about pancakes and about the only ones that he gives his approval on are his Grandma Suz's (Grammy). He won't eat the Krusteaz ones but prefers Bisquick, not mine, just hers. Mickey D's is okay. Most restaurants are approved of. But, he actually ate a couple of these and so that is saying something right there.

And did I forget to mention you can have lots of FUN being creative?

Check out this video for more FUN ideas After all life is all about FUN right? (Well, at least it should be!)

Soooo....
'BATTER' up, make some FUN, and have a "BLAST"!

Anyone else tried these????
