Family Halloween Party

Haunted House I made many moons ago

Dave's sister and her family just moved back from Arizona.  They have a gorgeous new home and she is Gung Ho to partying!  None of the rest of us are complaining!  She has a total party house!  It's perfect in every way to party when all of Dave's family comes.

She planned a really fun Halloween party this year and it was
SPOOKTACULAR!
Originally it was called a Fall Festival and so I wasn't thinking costumes were part of the plan, but a few days before I was informed it was indeed a costume party.  I was all set to be a chocolate Hershey Bar and thought Dave could go as Willy Wonka.  He wasn't too thrilled with that idea, so I was back to square one.  I remembered one year that we went to a ward party as a policeman and a donut and it was a huge hit.  I think we even won best costume or some award.   I still had most of the costume and so I dug it out and then went to work to get the rest of it ready.  Mainly the donut!  It was super easy to make.  The hardest part was finding an inner tube the right size.  I just needed a cop hat and some handcuffs for Dave and we were all set.

Viola!

I found this old photo from the first time we did this costume.

I made some Purple Candy Apples to take.  They turned out better than I thought they would!  Those colors are so perfect together!
I also took some witchy cupcakes.

We arrived! Even though none of our boys could make it, it was still a lot of fun!

Oh my!  There was so much food!
We also had a chili cook-off but I forgot to take any photos of the chili.  It was all so yummy!

Everything was so cute and creative!

With my darling niece Aubrey!
Donut we look so festive?

Talk about a photo opp!
This was perfect!

Everyone looked so cute!

I'm with Karen in this one. She is the party Queen!

The donut became the star of the show with the kiddos.  I let them have fun with it.  We all tried to hula hoop donut style. I donut like to hula hoop donut style!

My cute nephew Isaac loved rolling it and rolling in it!  I tried ALL night to grab that cutie and get a photo with him inside the donut together.  He was such a tease and kept escaping!  Just love that kid!

FINALLY!  Donut think you are escaping now!  You're all mine!

With some of my adorable (and scary!) nieces!
Donut know what I'd do without these cute girlies!
