Life Is Like A Rainbow

R A I N B O W S

“Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.”

“And sometimes you realize the value of the rain by knowing how unreliable and vanishing the rainbow is.”

― Nur Bedeir

This was my spectacular view on one of my run's this week!
We haven't received much rain this summer and so we haven't seen too many of these, but oh it was worth the wait!

It's even better when you get TWO for the price of ONE!

I think I can see right where that pot of gold is waiting for me!

Life really is a lot like rainbows.

I have this quote in my room ↓

 I have always loved this.
~~~
Rain and rainbows are so symbolic of how life really is.
We are going to have to endure the times in our lives when things aren't going how we planned if we want to feel the joy and the blessings that come after such trials.
And no matter how hard it rains, or how vicious the rainstorm, or how long it lasts, the sun will always come out again and along with it a beautiful radiant rainbow to show us that life really is good!  And that the storms of life always end.  And that we can always find something good from every hardship.
~~~
I personally LOVE the rain!  As soon as I see a black cloud coming, or hear that thunder warning, or feel the first sprinkling of rain, I feel happy.  I have always felt this way.  I know rainy days make most people sad and gloomy, but they have just the opposite effect on me.  I am instantly put in a good mood when it rains.  It makes me want to get all cozy inside, and bake something yummy, or curl up in a blanket by the fire with a good book, or get outside and go for a run in it!
~~~
I don't see rain as putting a damper on my plans for the day.  I feel like it just enriches them and makes them so much better.  I guess if we can see our trials the same way, and realize that trials are not necessarily bad and evil or something we just want to move along as fast as possible, but rather as the very things that help us to grow and become stronger, just like the rain does for our earth, then we will not dread them so much.
~~~
Maybe when we feel like we are getting pounded by those heavy rainstorms of life that just don't seem to let up, we can choose instead to see them as a blessing.  As a gift.  As a great map that will lead us to that pot of gold that we are all ultimately are hoping for.
~~~
I doubt I will ever look forward to the trials of life like I look forward to rain, but at least I know that something good will eventually come out of them.  That is IF I look UP to find it.
What a great perspective, I have never appreciated rain that way. I'm going to try to have a change of heart about it.
