Your Favorite Movie and What It Is About - Day #24

 Blog Challenge - Day 24
~Your Favorite Movie and What It Is About~

Aaaaaaaaa!  I hate these questions that ask for ONE favorite of something!  I am the kind of person that has a hard time just favoring ONE thing!  I LOVE so many things of so many things. I have MANY favorites!

I don't have ONE favorite sister. ALL my sisters are my favorite.  Well, that is, IF I had a sister.  Which I don't. But, I don't have ONE favorite child.  ALL my boys are my favorites!  I don't have ONE favorite husband.  ALL my husbands are my favorites!

OOPS!  Got writing a little too rapidly and that one just flowed after the others.  Sorry, let me rephrase that one...  IF I only have ONE of something, then of course, that ONE is my FAVORITE.  I only have ONE husband (chill-chill) and so he is my favorite husband.   BUT...when it comes to books, foods, friends, nieces, nephews, restaurants, stores, vacations, clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc,....basically ANYTHING there is more than one of... I NEVER have just ONE favorite!

Unless, of course, it is...

Color

I do have ONE favorite color out of the millions of colors.

In my book, there is no other color that can even compete or compare.

And if you have any taste at all, you know that the one true color of all other colors is:

Not sure how purple got into a question about favorite movies, well, other than it should be in every conversation.  But, back to the topic at hand.

Favorite movie.  Not movieS...

I'm just afraid I'm going to have to challenge this challenge and do it my way.

Since I do NOT have ONE favorite movie, I will have to list my TOP 10.  Then I can quit feeling so much pressure about trying to pick only one.  Sheesh, picking just 10 is going to cause me stress.

Here are my TOP 10 but in NO particular order:

  • It's A Wonderful Life
(if I was forced to pick one, this would be it)
  • Les Miserables (the 2013 version)
  • The Sound of Music
  • The Notebook
  • Somewhere In Time
  • The One and Only Genuine Original Family Band
  • Yours, Mine, and Ours (Lucille Ball version)
  • Rear Window
  • The Way We Were
  • Parent Trap (original)
  • AND... White Christmas or any Doris Day movies...
(see I can't even pick 10!)

I can see from this list that I favor old movies more than recent ones.  I am a huge sucker for any romantic comedy new or old.  I love musicals and scary movies (not the horror ones, but the kind you have to watch with one eye closed and end up on somebody's lap!) and anything that has a good message.  Sometimes I just like to watch something easy to escape reality.  Or sometimes I just watch so I can have an excuse to eat popcorn!

In case you are looking for a good movie this weekend, here is a new movie called The Ultimate Life that looks really good!  Check out the details HERE
It is about Gratitude and looks like it has a great message.
Here's the trailer clip.  It starts today.

Holy Smokes! You took the long way around to get to your movies! But your writing is so fantastic that it is a joy to meander through your musings. Great choices on movies - I love them!

Haha! I knew you would say that!
Some of these questions are so boring that I have to spice them up just a bit. LOL
